Sterling, has recently returned home from the Culbertson hospital in Rushville.Steven WagstaffA Marine corps spokesman, who called at the family residence Monday, told the youth’s parents their son was killed in the battle of Pri Quang pro-vience July 2, but that because of military conditions at the time, his body was not recovered until Wednesday of last week.Cpl. Wagstaff graduated from Jacksonville High school in 1965, and entered the Marines in April, 1966.His parents said that in the last letter they received from their son he informed them he was stationed only 25 yards from the demilitarized zone (DMZ).Cpl. Wagstaff was born March 1, 1946 in Jacksonville.
