Anyone needing such help notify as soon as possible any one of the committee composed of 0. A. Royer, H. H. Lock in and Mayor G. R. Wharton, stating the amount of grain to harvest and the available help they now have.Mayor G. R. Warton has bad notices posted calling attention to the proclamation of the governor of the state ordering that no foreign language be used or spoken in public places or over the telephone. It seems that foreign languages have been used on our streets and over the telephones contrary to the proclamation which is now a law.About sixty ladies attended the wheatless demonstration held in Aurelia last week and an interesting meeting is reported. A canning demonstration of vegetables and meat will be held next Saturday afternoon. All those having trouble canning vegetables are urged to attend. There will also be a canning demonstration in the morning for the girls club which was organized last week and ail girls are invited. Miss Elsie Hardy, home demonstation agent for Cherokee county will havecharge of these meetings.%C. Hille was over from Alta Monday, bringing with him an honor roll containing the names of Aurelia boys in service. It is all hand pen work and very artistic in design and penmanship. Mr. Hille made the honor roll on his own account trusting the people of Aurelia to compensate him for same, and the matter will likely be handled through the Home Defense League recently organized, The list of names will be added to as other enters the service. The list as it now stands was made out in a hurry and undoubtedly there are a number which have been omitted. The honor roll is now on display in the Aurelia postoffice and if anyone has been left off kindly inform Postmaster Dingman.
