Stonewall Jackson looks sternly down as a nurse's footsteps echo hollowly in the long corridor.Two of the white-haired widows, Mrs. Rosie Adams, 90, and Mrs. Dora Edmondson, 94, have hung portraits of their husbands in their rooms.Down the hall, the two oldest, Mrs. Cowan and Mrs. West, in pink bed jackets, hugged their dolls.They love their dolls and seem to think they're children they're caring for, said Mrs lassie Tucker, superintendent of the home.You have to cater to them, they’re like b4blos them elves. she added. I’ve been with them ten years now. They're wonderful old ladies.Most of the widows have a few relatives who come to see them.
