iJ. Dooley Visits In Emmetsburg;j Monday afternoon the Democrat enjoyed a call from Joseph Dooley of Omaha, Nebraska. Mr. Dooley will be remembered by his many Emmetsburg friends as he spent I the early years of his life in this' city. For the past few years Joseph | and his father, R. j. Dooley, also ; formerly of this city, have been [living in Omaha.| Mr. Dooley tells the Democrat ithat for the past six months he has been traveling on the eastern seaboard. He noticed particularly that the war scare seemed much more prevalent along the eastern coast than in the middle west. He also reports that employment is plentiful in the larger cities in the east and that American citizens with their birth certificates in order have no trouble finding employment.While in the east Mr. Dooley received his questionnaire for ^ compulsory military’ duty and w^s|€ ordered to report to his Omaha board for his medical examination. He was classified in 1A by hist1draft board upon completion of his j medical examination. He has beenordered to report for his year of military service on Saturday, July 5.Mr. Dooley left for Omaha Monday evening.
