AN OLD VETERAN.'.The Norwalk board of pension examin-ers had before it today for examination. Joseph DeGaugh, of Berlin, who is probably the oldest survivor of the civil war in this vicinity. Mr. DeGaugh is 95 years of age, having been born in Vermont in 1806. He enlisted in 1861, when he was 55 years old, in the 17th Pennsylvania cavalry and he was discharged in 1862 because of a severe saber wound in the head.
