Trap VictimOrrville’s third casualty came on Nov. 16, 1967 when SP 4 John S. McConnell of the U. S. Army was killed by fragments projected when an allied booby trap exploded. John had only spent three months in Vietnam before he was killed while on a reconnais-ance mission in an area 70 miles north of Saigon. Born July 8,1947 in Indianpolis. Ind., John is the son of Anna Josephine McConnell of 916 Terminal St. John also left behing a wife, Frances Ann Skeen of Ypsilanti, Mich. Helicopter Crash We remember February 5, of last year as being the day when SP-5 Lee King, son of Mrs. Na-dyne King now of Fairviow Park.
