Six were Gold Star mothers and were presented memberships. Mrs, J. A. Dowdle, who was received as a new member, also was initiated.Gold Star mothers who were honored are Mesdames J. M. Everheart, Barbara Schallert, D. P. Peek. G. R. Scott, Essie Brooks and John W. Moore.There was a regular business meeting of the aociety with Mrs. P. A. Kleinschmldt presiding. Mas-dames J. Ray Dickev. K. L. Riggs, Wid N. Morgan and J. B. Jackron were appointed captains of four competing teams to solicit new members.M'ss Nell Parmlejr sang That’r Why God Made Mothers” and ‘‘The Patchwork Quilt”, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Mamie I.
