Andree Dopehie, founder of theYWCA in Ghent, Belgium, will beworth hearing as she will tell howthe YWCAs were suppressed in Belgium under threat of arrest during the war, and how their leaders continued to hold secret meetings for young women who were united in their faith and belief in the value of YWCA in rebuilding their country’seconomic and spiritual life after the war.The annual meeting dovetails withthe Round-the-World YWCA Reconstruction fund campaign. The Reconstruction program is concernedprimarily with human values. It envisions making use of whatever physical resources are at hand, however inadequate.
