COLORED RECREATION CENTER IS OPENEDThe only colored recreation center in Fort George G. Meade was opened Saturday as a WPA project. It had been requested by army officials.The building and equipment were supplied by the government. The recreation leaders were assigned from the Anne Arundel county and Prince George's county WPA recreation offices.Those present at the opening ceremonies included CapL Henry McGlooson, commanding, 1332 Quartermaster Corps; Mrs. Mabel Coppage, State WPA recreation supervisor; Henry Harris.
