Jones disclosed Wednesday that 250,936 heads of needy families and individuals have jobs on 3243 works projects in Pennsylvania. The quota set for the state is 309,000.Labor quotas in all but two of the counties were exhausted some weeks j ago, said Jones. Several State-wide projects are now being established, he reported, to speed employment of “white collar’’ workers.Jones also stated that employment has been delayed in Philadelphia and Allegheny counties because of failure of local authorities to cooperate fully with the WPA program.On January 14, said Jones, 12,378 WPA workers were employed in District 9, which includes Adams, Dauphin.
