Obituary Notes, Gustave BaesslerLuVerne Gustave Baessler,son of Gottlieb Baessler and his wife, Johanna nee Schoenhart, was born Sept. 21. 1879, near Berg. Stuttgart, Germany. In 1886, his parents left Germany for America, arriving at Hardy, la., on March 5 of that year.On June 28, 1920, he was united in marriage to Mathilda Ristau at Geneseo, III. For several years, they lived on a farm iear Hardy. In 1923. they moved to their home m Lu Verne.For a number of years, the deceased was afflicted witn failing health. On Dee. 20, he was taken to the Lutheran hospital at Ft. Dodge, and it was here that hu quietly passed away, Thursday morning, Dec. 29, at 8:05 a. m.I at the age of 70 years, three months and nine days.The deceased was a life-long ipember of the Lutheran church and since 1923, a member of the Lu Verne congregation.He leaves to mourn, his faithful wife and one son, Eugene, many othlt;?r relatives and a host of friends.Burial was in the LuVemo cemetery.
