LT. LORENZ GROSS, FONTANELLE PHOT. RULED IN ITALY-Grunvold — First Lt. Loren* O. Gross, 23, was killed in action over Itay Dec. 23, according to word re* ceived from the war department by Mrs. Gross, the former Deesa-more Dickey of Griswold. Lt. Gross was pilot of a B-bomber. He and his crew had been on a rescue mission at the time of the crash. Tht only surviving member of the crew formerly receded at Omaha. In a letter to his parents, this crewman related how he had had another detail that dfcy when the bomber was dispatched on this special mission.
