nan.NO ONE can say that the yule-tide spirit doesn’t linger in Austin, with everyone still being wished a “Merry Christmas” in lights at the north end of Main street three weeks after Christmas.—o—AN OSAGE, IOWA, girl who was known as “Anzio Ann” to many thousands of GIs during World war II, is back again at the fighting front. She is Ann Goplerud who is now serving at Pusan, Korea, with a Red Cross unit. It was as a Red Cross girl in World war II that she established her fame as the first woman to go on the Anzio beachhead where she sang to battle-weary troops.
