Texans Active in War on JapsFighter Plane Dollars Roll In;hidlet-ers-.)Talking about the war won’t win it.South Texans are DOING something in making contributions to The Light’s drive lor a fund to purchase a fighter plane.The plane will be sponsored by San Antonio in the war on the Japs.The money has started to roll into the offices of The Light not in pennies hut In $10 bills.DONATIONS ACCEPTED.Contributions may be -from- one cent up, .however.Meanwhile, adjoining countieshave started plans to raise money to purchase a 50 caliber machine gun to place on the plane, A delegation from one county called at The Light offices to see if such action would be approved.It was,The Light Is acting as trustee of-the fund.The campaign is for entire South Texas and Is not limited to csl-dents of San Antonio.The Japs started this WAr.
