Ga., 28, 18».st was mustered out of service May 20, 1899 at Augusta,There was a lot of serious illness • mostly tropical fevers such as malaria, typhoid fever, yellow fever, amebic dyscntary and more. Almost everyone was deathly sick during this U-month tour of duty.Many erf the men had problems with these diseases fa the rest of tbeir lives.In later years there was an annual 9th 111.
