Hritsko, 37, and his wife, Marlene Jewel, 33, of 1605 West 28th St. The hillings apparently were prompted by marital difficulties, police said.Their deaths orphaned five children. The oldest, Deborah, 12, and Diane, 10, were awake at the time of the slayings, police said.Mrs. Hritsko died of a single shot in the heart from her husband’s 38 caliber police revolver.Hritsko suffered a fatal gunshot wound in the right temple fired from the same weapon, police reported.Their bodies were first found by Deborah and shortly thereafter by an ambulance attendant she summoned at her father’s request, police said.PT. GEORGE T. WALKERquoted Deborah as saying her father came home shortly before the shootings intoxicated and began arguing and swearing at his wife.The girl said she heard Hritsko shout, “you got me 60 days and I am going to shoot you TT il r •daughter to call an ambulance, the girl said.While making the call she heard another shot and returned to the room to find her father lying on the floor, a bullet wound in the head, she said.The ambulance driver who answered the girl’s call found the Hritskcs’ dead and called police. This was shortly after 4 a.m.Detective Inspector Mauricemas, also suffered a wristwound before she died, police said.
