Bombings Mark End Of Truce In PalestineBY ELIAV SIMONUnited Press Staff Correspondent Jerusalem, Jan. 2. —(LPI— Two pamphlet bombs exploded in Jerusalem late today, marking the end of a shaky truce which brought peace to the Holy Land during the Zionist congress in Basel and the Christmas holidays.The explosion of the bombs in south Jerusalem soon after sunset showered the neighboring streets with announcements by Irgun Zval Leumi that its 21-day truce with the Stern gang had ended.The renewal of violence came soon after British troops had searched the town of Rehovot for suspects in the flogging of four British soldiers last Sunday.Red Devils of the sixth airborne division cordoned off Rehovot, Palestine's biggest single concentration of Yemenite Jews, fnd in a house to house search rounded up 6,000 persons who were questioned in the Sunday flogging.Pour men who had whips which might have been used In the flogging were held.
