★ ★ ★Vinton—Mrs, Winnie B. Worthen received a telegram from the war department notifying her that her son, Pfc. John L. Good, has been missing in action in Italy since Jan. 23. A telegram several weeks ago from the war department had given her son’s unofficial status as a prisoner of the Germans.Private Good was in a recon-naisnnce division and had been in ; combat in Africa and Sicily. During the fighting in Sicily he was wounded. After being released from the hospital, he was temporarily transferred to another outfit as a cook, blit had returned to his old outfit shortly before he was reported missing.★ ★ *
