Heroic Son Wcu Into Prayer, SaOut of Korea last week, came the story of how a young West- j porter and five buddies prayed lt;and then risked Communist fire lt;to retrieve the body of a dead i sergeant.The Westport GI, PFC John M. Bieling, Jr., 21, must have been scared, figures his father, John M. Bieling, Sr., of Wilton road. Told that his son had prayed before undertaking the heroic mission, John Sr. said: 1“I guess that was because he was scared. It was hard to get that boy to go to church.”
