Brown, who lived two miles east of Idillou, died last Friday evening at three o’clock of flu followed by pneumonia, at the home of the family. She was sick several weeks and all that skilled physicians and loving friends could do to save her was in vain. On the evening of February 20th her soul took its flight to a better world, where sorrow and parting are not known.February 21 her body was laid to rest in the Lubbock cemetery.Mable will not only be' missed by those in her own home, but by many friends and school mates. She was a ray of sunshine given to her parents for only a few short years. Mable was a devoted Sunday school member of the Baptist Sunday school class of Idalou. Only a year ago, another member of this family, Roy Brown, died of pneumonia, while serving his country in France.Mable Myrtle Brown was bom Feb. 23, 1905 and died Feb. 20, 1920. She is survived by a father and mother, four sisters, Misses Mattie, Maude, Lucy and Lorine Brown; two brothers, Rubev and Floyd Brown, all of whom are at home and at the bed side at the time of her death.
