Slmos, who is missing in action, received a Distinguished I I'lying Cross which was awarded to Sergea n t Simon for ext rn ordf na rv achievement while partieipatmg as aerial radio operator in combat missions totaling more than 200 hours in the China-Burma India theater ofoperations.Mrs. Beverly Barnes, 900 Bunting Drive, Bakersfield, wife of Staff Sergeant Richard Barnes, now a prisoner of war, was presented with theAir Medal awarded to Sergeant Barnes for exceptional achievement.Mrs. Rebecca Juanita Price, 1021 Stevens street, Taft, wife of First Lieutenant James T. Price, missing in action, received the Air Medal and one Oak Leaf Cluster for meritorious achievement in aerial operations over enemy occupied continental Europe.
