Two Bel I wood i a nsFDKilled inMr. and Mrs. Fred Justus, 207 Twenty-ninth avenue, received word last Friday that their son, S/Sgt. John Justus, age 27, had been killed in action on Luzon on Jan. 24. A graduate of Roosevelt grade and Proviso Township high school, he entered the army on May 15, 1942, serving in an Infantry regiment. He took part in the campaigns at Guadalcanal, New Caledonia, and was now in the Philippines. He also spent some time in New Zealand. He met his brother,SiPjthClachisi!MbeHTlt;19Clt;WiechjBlt;Llt;stofbethFred, who is in the Navy, while at Guadalcanal. He had never had a furlough and was eagerly awajting his turn to come home.Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters—Frieda Manweiler and Eleanor and three brothers.His brothers are all in the service.
