Frank De La RivaRosary for Frank De La Riva.79. a descendant of the Olivas family which built the historic Olivas Adobe in which De La Riva was bom. is scheduled for Monday at 4:30 pm, at the James A Reardon Mortuary in OxnardDe La Riva died Friday at his home at 151S C St .Oxnard.He was born May 25, 1896, in the Ventura adobe home, to William De La Riva and Rebecca Olivas De La Riva, daughter of Don Raimundo Olivas, who began construction of the adobe He attended school in Montalvo and graduated from Ventura High School. An Army veteran of World War I, he lived in Los Angeles many years before returning to Ventura County in 1970 He was a retired furniture manufacturer.Survivors include a son. Frank Jr of lxs Angeles; a sister, Kstella De La Riva of Oxnard; and three grandsons Mass of the Christian Burial Will be said Tuesday at 10 am, at the Santa Clara Church, with the Rev Michael O'Shea officiating Burial will be in Ivy Lawnw(Ymeterv.
