Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rupploof Denver, had seen him in a newt reel covering FOW camp*.After »eeing him on the screen, the owner of the theater was contacted. The owner gave them a strip of the uewEreel. They made an enlarged print, and identified one man in the picture at Cpt. Kuyple. Several days later, Mrs. Rupple was notified, by the government. and a week after that came the first letters and cards,Mrs. Rupple expressed the fear tlmt Cpl- Rupple was forced to write that bo was all right, and put in a plug for peace. She said, however, that she was happy that she could hear from him and. that he was apparently all right.The text of the latest letter:“Dearest Mother:“Just a few lines io Ivt you know that I am. just fine and hope you are the same. They have been very nice to us and also gave us food very good food. We also had a very good Xmas here. I hope Lhe next one wil be at home.“i hope aud pray that there will be peace very soon. You don’t have to worry about me. They have been very good to us. They give us candy, sugar, clgs ajyi meat loo.“1 am getting fat here, I am working 1n the cook house. I make coffee and bean miik and feed my pigs ao we can have meat to eat. Most ot all I wish they would hay© peace on the world so that we could all come home to our loved ones,“I know every one would like to have peace. Tell every one hello and 1 hope to be borne iooh.1 was always looking for letter from you. 1 have written to you three or four times, but I have not gotten a letter yet.“How is Henry getting along and the olhen. 1 will close now and ! hope to he home soon or get a letter from you, !1 have been a POW since Nov. ■ 5, 190G.
