Prechtel, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Prechtel, R. 4, Jasper, assisted in the operation of releasing more than 20.000 anti-Communist Chinese and Korean prisoners when they were returned to UN custody last month. They helped to guard Freedom Road from panmunjom to Inchon to insure the prisoners’ safety.Logsdon, a squad leader in Company M of the 25th Division’s 14thRegiment is the 22-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Arlie Logsdon, 706 Eighth St., Huntingburg. He has been awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge. Before entering the Army in June 1952, he was employed by the Jasper Corporation.Prechtel, 21. is a machine gunner in Company L of the 25th Division’s 14th Regiment.
