Represen-fres-of—the Forty and Eight ety, the American Legion,the Army and Navy, and the ' Alliance de Francaise of Atlanta participated. The car was accepted for the state in the name of the Forty and Eight organiza-11 tion.Governor Talmadge expressed the appreciation of Georgians for the gifts to the state included on the train, which were sent by the i | French people in gratitude for the food, clothing and supplies sent to France last year by Americans on ;i the Friendship Train. He spoke of the cordial relations which have always existed between this country and France and expressed the belief that the United States and France are united in a common desire for lasting peace in 4-the world.Four of the cars will be taken i this week to Alabama, Missies-. ippir Louisiana and Arkansas, t The fifth, car will remain inI Georgia as a gift to the people of t the state.
