Mohr, now listed as ”Misa-inif in Action” will be nwarded the*‘Air Medal in honor of the heroic . acts of their son. For this occasion an appropriate program has beenarranged by the Area Commander,{inmbyCaptain Carl Israelson in conjunction with Father John T, Wagcner.It will be held at St, Bernardino's hall Monday night ¥l 0:15. Thepublic is invited to participate.Lt, Mohr was probably one of the most popular young men to leave Forest Park for the armed service,; Son of Mr. and Mrs, Roy Mohr and grandson of H. J. Mohr, one time • muyor of Forest Park, young Mohr had a splendid Fbrest Park background. He attended BernardLneschool and was a graduate of Proviso high school where he distinguished himself both scholastically and in athletics. Prior to enlist- , mg in the Air Force he was assoc I- j ated with his father's firm of H. J, Mohr and Sons in the capacity of sales manager. His progress in the! Air Corps was very rapid and after the shortest required time he emerged a Lieutenant and Flight Leader. He soon was sent overseas and made many missions over Germany and France irom England.
