Thursday morning following ,.h-long illness of diabetis and heart' trouble. He was seventy-nine years ( of age.Mr. Baessler was born in Germany in the year of 1852 and emigrated to .this country at the ago of nineteen settling in Humboldt county near Livermore. The family lived on their farm southeast of Livermore until seventeen years ago when they moved to town. Mr. and Mrs. Baessler celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary liit April 18th* : % ■Besides his widow he leaves tWo sons, Frank and Carl of Livermore, and seven daughters; -Mira. Emma Lanuing, Sioux City; Mrs, Minnie SolzaK, New Hampton;. Mrs. Lena Doherty, Clarion; Mrs. Cora Harris,* San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Ida McKenna and Lulu Berryhill, Livermore; and Sylvia of Los Angeles. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Ernst, of Humboldt. •' , SFuneral services were held at the German Lutheran church Saturday afternoon with tlje Rev. Wittenberg in charge.
