AGED PRINTER WALKING FROM NEW YORK tO SAN FRANCISCO.Last Tuesday an aged printer, by the name, of F. E. Rogere. paid the Leader office a call and told of some interesti ng experiences he had hadon his walking trip from New YorkCity. He said he w.as 72 ddys out of New York and expected to reach San Francisco in less than that many more days. He left New York pen-mless and is to reach San Francisco in less than 150 days, it he accomplishes what he set out to do,-that of. setting a new' record of walking for aged printers, and if he makes a new record he will be given a prize by the NfiML-York Sun, by which paper he is now employed, he states... One of the rules'Oae must abide by is: He must j not solicit automobile rides, but if given a lift he can ride .50 miles each day.Printer Rogers states that he has had the best of health since staining out on this trip. He says he has been [ wet a score of times but that, seem-S ingly, did not affect his health.. He ! says it is very interesting to balance the optimism^ fun and. jokes of life with the pessimism, - sourness and grouches and he says after shaken' well before taken gives a flavor not at all unpleasant.
