V -Corporal James D. Morrison Home From Overseas.Corporal James D. Morrison, recently returned from France, spent Christmas with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Morrison in Statesville, Corporal Morrison, who was wounded in the foot and gassed while serving1 the American arttiv in France October 7, arrived in New Yprk December 15, He was sent to Camp Merrit, N, J„ and later to Baltimore. He will return to Baltimore where he expects to be discharged from the service shortly,Corporal Morrison was on kitchen duty with 117th Infantry September He was sent into the trenches with food for the soldiers. It was while returning from that mission that he received a machine gun bullet in the foot and was gassed. He has practically recovered from his wounds.
