The war department has officially announced that the 126th Field Artillery, of wihch Battery C is a unit sailed from France Dee. 24,The 338th Field Artillery, which wastrained at Camp Dodge, and which include*: some Muscatine men in its lists will arrive on the same transport Relatives of local soldiers in the 126th have received word that the boysase enroute home.While few Muscatine men still re* nvtin in old Battery C.. a large number of Muscatine soldiers are in the 126th artillery. When the old First Iowa artillery was split up. Battery C men were used for non-commissioned staffof the entire brigade.The Pocohantas. the transport whichthe boys are aboard will land at Newport News a week from today, and the men are expected to entrain immediately for Camp Dodge where the regiment will probably be mustered out of service.It is probable that many of the Muscatine men will be home dischargedfrom «ervice by January 15th. The *37fh Field Artillery, which includesa ^enre or more of Muscatine men in its persone!. is now at Brest an embarkation point, and will probably beat Camp Dodge sometime during the latter part of January.
