Smmm—' I I 'FROM THE FRONT.I.atest News from tlie Scene of the IndianTrouble.Omaha, Neb., Dec. 20.—A special from Camp Carr, on Cheyenne river, says: .John Farnham, who has been in the employ of the Government as scout, was yesterday placed under arrest by order of General Carr, under instructions from General Aliles. Farnham is suspected of giving* information concerning the movements of the troops along the Cheyenne river to the hos-tiles. Farnham is a squaw-man and is married to an Ogallaga” squaw.The troops at this camp are ready for a forward movement as soon as ordersare rcooivotl and if pivcnwill have no difficulty in penetrating to the Indian stronghold. Dr. McGilli-cuddy. .John R. Brennan and Amerieus Thompson went to within two or three miles of the Indian camp in the Bad Lands and found several easy routes in and out of the so-called impregnable stronghold.The Indians have been firing the grass in the basin north of the White River slope, and it is thought to be a signal to Sitting Bull's warriors.Another battery of Ilotehkiss gains were received at the camp yesterday.
