Col. Blee Senior Officer On Staff Of General CurrvCol. Harry Blee, native Santa Anan, is senior officer on the staff of Maj. Gen. John F. Curry, whose loan to the office of Civilian Defense by the Army Air Corps was announced in yesterday’s Register. Colone1 Blee thus will be first assistant to General Curry in command of the Civil air patrol of 90,000 licensed pilots, 90,000 student pilots and 100,000 in ground crews throughout the United States.Colonel Biee is a brother of Mrs. Carrie Flagg, 311 Orange avenue, Santa Ana, and Ben B!ee of Balboa. He is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Blee, Santa Ana pioneers, and was born in Santa Ana. A graduate of Santa Ana high school and Stanford university, he served with the American air force in the first World war, afterward remaining in the air corps reserve.He was recalled to active duty last Thanksgiving. For the last 15 years he has resided in Washington, D. C.
