HARRY LAGUE WRITES MOTHER FROM WIELAEKE, BELGIUMWielaeke. Belgium. Nov. 24, 1913. Dear Mother:I will write you a few lines to let you know where I am now. I have been in Belgium for about three weeks.I was here when the last drive tookplace. I also stayed a few days at Thielt. This was our fifth front. Bau-ofote; France, was our first front, then we were in the drive of Sept. 26 in the Argonne woods where they were dropping all around us but was lucky. I can tell you more about it in the near future I hope. were on the Verdun front where we hauled lunch to the front. I like Belgium better than France. It is a mpre level country, awfully pretty with its cobble-i stone roads. We are how billeted in an old chateau which must have been a pretty place before the war, with its park and greenhouse, and lagoon around the place. I received a letter from Elmore today. I am well and feling fine and hope this finds yon all the same. I don't know when I will be home hut this winter.4 We leave for France in a couple of days. We are having fine weather here wr, Getting cold at night. I will close for this time, wi,tb love to all.\ Harry C. LaGue.
