CANNON DEAD.Wife of the Congressman from Danville, III., Expire* Suddenly — Her TJfeleM Body Found in Bed.Washington, Dee. 17.—Word reached here that the wife of Representative Joseph Cannon, of Illinois, died suddenly at her homo in Danville, 111. Ex-Senator Kellogg and Representative Gear were notified, and, coming at once to the Capitol, called Mr. Cannon from the room of the committee on appropriations, where he was at work* They then broke the sad news to him. Mr. Cannon was completely overcome and took the first train for home.Danville, 111., Dec. 17.—Mrs. MaryP. Cannon, wife of Congressman J. G. Cannon, was found dead in her bed at the family residence yesterday morniiig. The family physician, Dr. Gillett, pronounced heart disease as the cause of her sudden death. She had retired apparently in perfect health Sunday night, having during the day attended church. She leaves two daughters, Helen and Mabel. The latter hud left for Chicago at 1 o'clock to visit friends. Mr. Cannon will arrive Wednesday morning and the funeral will probably be heldWednesday or Thursday. The deceased was 48 years of age and married Mr. Cannon in Ohio in ISiil. Her maiden name was Reed.
