He had been in the European theater five months and had been awarded the Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters. Besides his parents. Lieutenant Bernacchi is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Frank Forchini of San Francisco, Mrs. Nilda Johnson of Bakersfield, two nephews and one niece.ported missing over the North Sea on a return trip from Germany toEngland.
