New* of NationalUSO Gets AttentionWith the establishment of a USO center in Denton now underway, the interest of many residents here will be focused on the aims, opportunities and news of USO I throughout the nation. In the De- j cember bulletin Issued by national headquarters of USO. an item states that nearly *30.00,00 had been ! raised by Thanksgiving day through the United States toward the goal of $32,000,00, and almost half of this has been raised in small cities and towns, bringing additional proof ofthe nationwide response to the appeal. .The bulletin also states that that nearly 100 new USO clubs and smaller units have been authorized and will be opened soon, making atotal of nearly 1,200 USO operations. Increased travel has necessitated jspecial facilities for servicemen en route, and there are now 87 troops- I in-transit lounges in the principal j transportation centers.
