Gworek, a corporal stationed with the army signal corps at Frledberg, Germany, thankingthem' and other persons in Fre-fionla who sent Christmas packages to needy families in 'Germany.Corporal Gworek was assigned 10 families for whom he was responsible for. their receiving a Christmas box. He sent a letter to his parents asking them, to secure the help of Fredonla townspeople in carrying out. this project. The generosity of these people was shown when Corporal Gworek’s 10 adopted families each received' a box containing toys, canned goods, clothing and other articles.Those in Fredonla who sent the packages, besides Mr. andMrs, Gworek were Florence H. Wirfcner, Mr. and Mrs, A. K. Dickson Sr., Joseph C. Petr,, E, J. Satacr, Miss Marlon Poland, DeForesb Straight. E. J, Mc-Kale, Jane Fangcl, and Mrs. V. Kopiiner.
