Miller, state commander of the American Legion.The governor announced he was assured by peace officersthat everything is “well in hand.” URGES CALMNESSHe urged citizens to remain calm and reported military and civil agencies “have been actively engaged in defense preparations for several months and can be depended upon to adequately guard against sabotage, subversion and other fifth columnist activities.Guards were • posted at the state’s military air bases and at Fort Huachuca.
