Mrs. Carl Bergman I Hostess at MeetingLord Calvert Chapter of Daughters of 1812 Has ProgramLord Calvert chapter, Nationat Society U. S. Daughters of 1812 met Wednesday afternoon at Mrs. C. G. Bergman’s home in Watts street, Mrs. H. B. Davenport presided.The program included a Christmas story. *‘A Truce With the Years” by Margaret Sangster. read by Mrs. C, E. Bllvcn A contribution was taken for lhe Carcassonc school at Gander, Ky. Announcement was made that Mr. Dale Casto has asked the chapter to mark the grave cf hisigreat-grandfather. Jonathan Casto, la soldier In the War of 1812. in the Casto cemetery in Fairplain, Jackson county.Members present were:Mesdamcs C. H. Varian. T. A. Scales, A. H. Andrews, W, T, Williamson and A. E. Harmon.The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. H. B. Davenport, in Kanawha street, January 12.
