BURNETT NAMED TOCARE FOR APPEALSGovernor McCall, in the name of theprovost marshal-general at Washington, has appointed Edward A. Burnett, a prominent lawyer of Plymouth and a graduate of Dartmouth in the olass of 1887, to conduct the matter of appeals from the local board of Division S9 to the district board, under the direction of the provost marshal, In accordance with the rules and regulations prescribed by President Wilson governing exemptions and appeals under the selective service law. This appointment will be of interest in cases now pending of appellants claiming exemptions, as well as others which will arise from the nextdraft.
