Vet of PhilippineInvasion To ReturnTo United StatesAfter three years of anxious waiting Harold Bolstad, f'elton and Mrs. Lester Alexander, Perley, have received the welcome word from the war department that their brother, Private Rudolph Bolstad, is safe and will be returned to the United States soon after servingwith a tank battalion in the Philippines since the time of their invasion by the Japanese in December, 1941.Word was last received from Private Bolstad in December, 1941, when he sent a telegram in the form of a Christmas greeting saying he was well.He entered service in April, 1941, and arrived in the Philippines in September just prior to the Jap attack.
