Suhrbier, 55, 1007 Kaspar St., Port Clinton, died Tuesday in H B Magruder Hospital after an extended illness.He was born in Oak Harbor.He was the owner and operator of Suhrbier Tool and Die Company for 17 years.He was a member and past president of St. John Lutheran Church; member and past exalted ruler of Elks Lodge 1718 from 1980-81, and district deputy grand exalted ruler of the Northwest District, 1984-85; member and past president of the Lions Club, 1973-74; member Moose Lodge; member and past president of Port Clinton Men’s Dart-ball League; and past president of Riverview Industries.Surviving are his wife, Joan (Burget), whom he married in 1950; two sons, Jeff and Jay, both of Port Clinton; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Jan) Burkholder, Edgewood, Ky., and Julie Suhrbier, Port Clinton; two grandchildren; a brother, Lowell, Port Clinton; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Virginia) Witt, and Mrs. Richard (Norma) Branum, both of Oak Harbor.He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bessie (Mackey) Suhrbier; a brother, Robert; and an infant daughter.Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Gemer and Wolf Funeral Home, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton, where the Elks Lodge will con-Hurt mpmnrial sprvipes at 7:30
