Regiment, better known m the ‘Terry Ranger.,’ I have been recocted to write to yon and nek—if it can be done—that yon will Mad by express to Colonel W. B Sayres. Gonsalse, Texas, who will pay charges, the battle-ll*g of said regiment, which was lost Oct 13:b. 166-t. in a battle near Coosa-ville, Georgia, and is now in tbe library of the State Ilooee or yoor State. Now that tbe war ia over, and aneient friendships are being restored, it would be a tonvenir of tbe dead whom this command left on tbe field of honor, to have tbeir old standard returned to them.
