William Hetzer, the Board of County Commissioners tomorrow is expecte! to approve an application for federal funds to complete the Raven Rock or Camp Ritchie road, a distance of about 2.7 miles. It is understood the Board will ask for an allocation of around $50,000 to make the new stretch conform with that portion leading out of Smithsburg that was completed some years ago.In view of the fact Camp Ritchie is becoming a very important army training center and that the road is the more direct route vo this city. Engineer Hetzer is said to feel that a federal appropriation will be obtainable.Last week a delegation, from the section was before the Board with a request that the old road be repaired. Heading the delegation was an array captain who told the Board that the road would eventually become very necessary as a direct route to this city.Engineer Hetzer will advise the Board that surveys can be made at once to establish grades, etc.. and that if federal funds are obtainablethe road can be constructed thisFall.CAStateeffectfieldsandmornnounHe ticipc prom Br besid the 1 Mars catio Br: them idly s alons ship bruk.Fli Monl the iL(ChA i AfClMrs.3*rrifin t dent Valli stan Yc back not rush fled ing.
