They range from aircraft plants to those producing tanks, explosives, guns, chemicals, steel, radio and radar, shipbuilding and ammunition.Machine tools and production equipment of the plants, with few exceptions, also will be declared surplus, the department said.The 10 biggest plants, representing an estimated cost of $593,443 434. include tw o government-owned establishments ofother eight are Moines Ordnance plant,Moines, Iowa: Gopher Ordnance Works. St. Paul, Minn.: Illinois Ordnance plant, Carbondale, 111.; Keystone Ordnance Works, Geneva, Pa.: Milan Ordnance Center.
