Dedication of Dewey Cannon.Three Oaks hopes to entertain Can-tain C. L. Hooper of the McCullolt; h, upon the occasion of the dedication of the Dewey cannon, says the Laporte Argus. Captain Hooper enjoys the distinction of being the man who first discovered the cannon and brought it to the United States as Admiral Dewey's gift to the National Monument association. President Warren of the village aldermanic body expects to receive a reply from Admiral Dewey when the latter reaches Gibraltar. The invitation to Miss Helen Gould will not he extended u j til a definite date has been deter-mind for the dedication.
