She is now modeling a powerful figure, looking something like a Greek Victory, to be entitled “The Marsellaise.”She completed some time ago a powerful group entitled “Peace Victorious,” in which a large, stern figure holds in powerful grasp, by the throat, the figure which like a beast of prey was gloating over its victim. It is a massive thing—big in conception.Then there is a crouching, ghoulish looking figure on another pedestal, which Mrs Ladd has made to typify war.“Ocean and Sail” is an original group in which Neptune is seen rising from the waves, big and powerful, and on hi* streaming beard there rests a graceful figure attached to a sail.She Is of the Time*
