On American Soil Again*Long Island, New York, Aug. 17.Mr, H. K. Miller,English, Ind.We are on American soil once more. We left Santiago August TO. landed here a ugust 1G. We were the happiest boys in the world to get to land. There were several that didn't get tonland and some were left in Cuba in the hospital. Several ships are not permitted to laud on account of yellow fever. Our men were considered the soundest that had yet came over. We all had the fever while in Cuba, and \t killed more men than were killed in battle during* the ■ whole war. I ciun't know how long!iwe will stay here.
