gf. JustusFuneral services were held last Saturday afternoon from Senne Funeral Home, Maywood, for S/Sgt. John Justus, age 27, who was killed in action on Luzon on January 24,1845. Rev. C. L. Grauer officiated. Impressive military services were conducted by Bellwood Memorial Post 5081, V. F. W. Interment was at Elm Lawn.i it, 7 T «-JSgt. Justus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Justus Sr., 2814 Gloss street, attended Roosevelt grade and Proviso township high school. He entered the army on May 15, 1942 andserved in an infantry regiment in the southern Pacific area. He tookpart in the campaigns at Guadalcanal, Hew Caledonia and was killed in action on Luzon, Philippine Islands. The Purple Heart was awarded posthumously.Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Frieda Manweil-er and Eleanor Pedersen; and his three brothers, Alex, David and Fred.
